Blue Guitar Replica

This project was a lot of fun and one of my earlier attempts at assembling a guitar. In middle school and high school I was really into Green Day. Billie Joe Armstrong plays a Fernandes Stratocaster copy which is nicknamed "Blue" (Pictured on slide 1). For this project, I purchased a black strat body from an online retailer and refinished it to something close to sonic blue. From there, I made a custom pickguard that featured the iconic slanted bridge humbucker used by Billie. I then added all of the stickers which I sourced from a shop that specializes in creating exact copies of Blue. The final step was to weather it using various techniques and add the iconic red strap.
